Torre Guaceto

Located on Adriatic coast of Salento Torre Guaceto is a natural reserve and protected area. This is ideal place if you look for quiet relaxing spot without bars, restaurants and lots of tourists. Take a nature walk, observe plant and animal species or make picnic somewhere on 8kn long coastline. Torre Gauceto has two very different ecosystems, above the highway landscape is dominated by olive gardens which are divided by stone walls build with local stone. Downhill from highway there is beautiful sea, sandy beaches with impressive dunes and maquis. Gallipoli

Sharing its name with more famous Turkish town of Gallipoli it is easy to see why name Gallipoli means “beautiful city” in Greek. Town is located by the Ionian Sea, on the west coast of the Salentina Peninsula.  The town of Gallipoli is divided into two parts, the new and the old city. The new town includes all the newest buildings including a skyscraper. The old town is located on a limestone island, linked to the mainland by a bridge built in the 16th century. Sail around protected by a robust looking 13th century fortress walls, visit sandy beaches in Gallipoli or sail to the stretch of beaches north and south of the town. Overall if you are in the area, Gallipoli is place you must see and experience for yourself.
